We believed the next evolution of retail would be shaped not just by products, but by people. By empowering creators to build within Walmart’s ecosystem, we aimed to reimagine how influence, trust, and commerce come together — creating a more human way to shop.

Our vision was to build an ecosystem where creators could thrive, customers could discover products through trusted voices, and Walmart could unlock new pathways for engagement and growth.

In 2023, social commerce generated $571 billion. With an annual growth rate of 13.7%,
US consumers aged 18-34 already purchase through social media weekly.
The Social commerce market is forecasted to reach $8.5 trillion by 2030
There are over five billion social media users worldwide, which is 62.6% of the global population.

For customers, it creates a more contextual and trusted shopping experience, where curated recommendations replace generic browsing and influence feels authentic rather than transactional.
For Walmart, the platform unlocks new discovery channels, strengthens engagement with younger audiences, and expands its presence in the growing social commerce market.
